I have had more people approach me over the years to ask me how you cheat in blackjack when you cannot physically touch the cards. Also, how do you cheat or gain an advantage when the game is using an automatic shuffling machine?
Well what you have to remember is that the game is still being dealt by a human, once you remember that fact then the process of beating the game becomes clearer. You are not beating the machine, you are beating the dealer. The use of an ASM eliminates the use of counting systems however strong their playing and betting efficiency may be.
Automatic Shuffling Machines
The weakness of games with ASM’s is that the casinos think that they cannot be beaten. When in actual fact, your edge is still only -0.5% so any player who was betting an average of £10 per box and getting 100 hands per hour would be placing circa £1000/hour in action.
The standard house edge when accurate basic is used is .5% so you would be losing around £5/hour. The fact is that most dealers in busy games will get nowhere near this figure and 50 hands per hour will be nearer the mark. This means that the hourly rate will be -£2.50/hour. This is only 25% of the total of what the average bet is. So over the space of every hour, you have 50 opportunities in which the dealer can make a mistake or be induced into making a mistake.
Casino Dealers
The weakness of all dealers is that they basically don’t care about the job that they are doing and they don’t get paid well enough to care…..I should know……I have done that job for nearly ten years. This creates all sorts of opportunities for players and even if the dealer pays you for a bet that they shouldn’t have, if they like you then the chances are that they may even let you keep the money anyway.
Now before I get into hot water here, I am certainly not advising anyone to cheat at blackjack or to be dishonest. But as for the casinos then this information is out there whether you like it or not. I really think that any casino needs to be aware of these techniques and how vulnerable they are with regards to their own staff.
