The $100-$10,000 challenge update

Seems like I need to update you on what has been happening with my poker challenge. I am ecstatic to report that the changes that I have made have proved very successful. I stopped playing full-ring NL50 and have switched to single tabling NL100 at six max. I have been averaging around $100/day profit and sometimes I have been making the odd $200/day in profit. I am now at a mouth watering $7994 and am now well back on track to make the $10k by Christmas.

I simply could not hack it anymore playing NL50 and the grind has done my head in. The way that I want to play poker is single table and that is how I have always wanted to play poker. I have never liked multi-tabling but have done it because this is what I felt that I needed to do. I really think that I can take this challenge on now past $10k. I have the momentum after nearly eight months doing this.

But I have made an average of almost $1000/month since I started but anyone who has been following this since April 1st will know that on several occasions that I have come close to packing it in and especially when I was on $600-$700. I am also going to start writing shorter blog posts as at least this should lead to me posting more often. Having to sit down to write 500 word posts is a bit daunting so expect more frequent but shorter posts in future.
